Golfers can pick a different course nearly every day of the week in the Cass Lake area, which has six golf courses to choose from within a half hour radius of Cass Lake.
Closest to home is Sandtrap Golf Course in Cass Lake. The nine-hole, regulation-size course has been carved out of rolling, wooded terrain that includes picturesque pines and birch with watered fairways and greens. It’s a challenging course for some, a relaxing escape for others, depending on skills and attitudes. Santrap Golf Course is not a “short course,” but one that totals over 3,000 yards and is a par 36 over 9 holes. The longest hole is 474 yards, the shortest is 144.
Nearby, there are several courses in Bemidji and two in Walker as well as several in the Park Rapids-Nevis area.
